ReplyDeleteMy teenage daughter taught me about localization, which imparts things like cultural elements into translations.
I started watching Record of Youth but it hasn't caught my interest yet.
I love the coat that Se-ri wears on the train.
Ooh. How do you turn on localization? Viki translations will often have cultural elements. It's rare to see them on Netflix shows.

I enjoyed how Sung Hee emphasized that Son Ye-jin stared in Something in the Rain knowing how much Joanna hats that K Drama! ;-) Maybe if it had time travel in it or a mythical creature......

Sung Hee, I find the best way to stay on top of these complicated K Dram plots like Lovely Runner is to binge 8 - 10 episode all at once! lol! How's that for a hack?! And you wonder how I've watched so many of these shows.....
Interesting that the Top 5 myths website you linked to is a tour operator. It's illegal for Americans to travel to North Korea using their US passport. I think UK, Canadian, Australian and other English language countries don't have that ban. I've seen several youtube videos made by people who traveled there. Would be really interesting, but I'd be pretty nervous.
